Alliance Francaise Palmerston North now offers a new immersion after-school programme for French-speaking children.
This programme offers children aged 5 to 12 a space for learning French and discovering French culture through
various academic activities. The aim of "L'école de français" is to recreate a fully immersive French school environment, thus allowing
the children to develop a bilingual education that will help to increase their socio-linguistic skills.
To that end, the class is focused mainly on French reading and writing, but also maths, history-geography, science and art, as well as
more playful activities such as storytelling, songs, poems, drawing and painting, crafts, educational games, etc. These activities follow
the French school curriculum, and each child follows a different learning program, adapted to their level.
Classes are taught by native French teachers from Alliance Française Palmerston North. All our teachers are qualified in teaching FLE (French as a second language) and/or trained as school teachers in France.
The French After School Programme runs every weekday from 3.30 pm to 6 pm.
